Hello! I'm Lisa
I am a native Washingtonian and a master colorist and stylist with over 15 years of behind the chair experience. I decided when I was 7 years old that I wanted to be a hairstylist and I have walked the path ever since. In 2008 I decided to take my career to the next level by becoming a Certified Master Colorist. In 2014 I started educating others! In 2018 I had the amazing opportunity to become my own boss and open my own salon, and I did, however that meant educating was out the door. The very first thing I noticed as a solo-entrepreneur was not how stressful running a business is, but how much I really missed educating. This was the birth of Calico.
Calico is my personal tribute to my journey as a master stylist. I enjoy educating and teaching others all of the things that I've learned over the years. I truly believe in "each one teach one"! I know that I cannot be behind the chair forever so it is my hope to pass on the knowledge that I've gained to the future generations of amazing hair stylist to come.
In the meantime I am still a full-time hairstylist. Whether you are looking to continue your education and master your coloring skills or you're a client looking for a new stylist to invest in you... look no farther.

We provide our clients not only with in-salon hair services, but we are also pleased to be able to offer our Hair Academy both in-person and online. At the end of the day, it’s our mission to help others take the best possible care of their hair.
